Privacy: local diagnostics and limited hosting logs

The diagnostic workflow works without an account, upload, application database, printer connection, or remote PDF service. Google Analytics is active for audience measurement, separately from the local diagnostic choices.

01

Operator and privacy contact

Vincent Schneider is the site operator and publisher. The postal address is 14 avenue Jean Médecin, 06000 Nice, France, and privacy questions or applicable data-rights requests can be sent to tailorweb.contact@gmail.com.

The site is governed by French law. This notice describes the current product and hosting configuration; it does not turn a local browser choice into server-held profile data.

02

Diagnostic content stays in the browser

The application uses the symptom, technology, paper size, ink mode, selected preview zone, and optional ruler measurement you enter only in page memory. It does not send those choices to the operator, add them to the URL, write them to browser storage, or store them in an application database.

The local PDF renderer uses only the generated vector model. A temporary Blob URL is created for the download and revoked shortly afterwards; its SHA-256 hash is calculated locally. A file you save is controlled by your device and is not retained by this site.

03

What the application does not collect

  • Printer name, model, serial number, queue, or local address
  • Scans, photos, private documents, or print history
  • Location, contact list, camera, microphone, or nearby devices
  • Account, advertising ID, payment details, or login
  • Diagnostic answers saved between visits
  • User profiles or records in an application database
04

European hosting and request logs

The site is hosted in Europe on Contabo infrastructure administered by the operator. Where Nginx handles a request, its access or error logs may record an IP address, requested path, timestamp, user agent, response status, and technical error details for delivery, security, abuse investigation, and troubleshooting.

Nginx access and error logs are rotated daily and retained for up to 14 rotations. This is a rotation count, not a promise that every log has one universal fourteen-day lifetime. Operational system journals are separate; they support server reliability and security, and no single global retention duration is asserted for them.

The current internal Caddy backend has no public route and no per-request access-log directive. Its operational errors may still reach container or system facilities. Before any future public edge activation, the operator must recheck the effective request path and update this notice if the logging categories change.

05

Audience measurement, without diagnostic content

Google Analytics is active with measurement ID G-KYLNKKWB03 to measure page visits and general site use. Its standard collection can include page URL and title, referrer, approximate location, browser and device information, session statistics, and a browser identifier stored in _ga and _ga_KYLNKKWB03.

The application sends no custom Analytics event containing a symptom, printer technology, paper choice, ruler value, preview zone, print job, PDF, hash, printer identifier, scan, photo, or document. There is no active advertising, AdSense code, advertising identifier, or consent-management platform in this version.

06

Your controls and rights

Reloading or leaving the page clears in-memory choices. You control downloaded PDFs through your device and browser settings; because the site never receives a PDF, the operator cannot retrieve or delete your local copy.

Where applicable, you may ask Vincent Schneider for access, rectification, erasure, restriction, or objection concerning personal data actually held in operational logs or correspondence. Contact tailorweb.contact@gmail.com; you may also lodge a complaint with the French data-protection authority, the CNIL. Rights depend on the processing and applicable legal conditions.
